Mindy seemed OK for the first few months of her life. Then we noticed she wasn't progressing like the younger babies around us. She was diagnosed with cerebral-palsy and retardation. We have discovered her symptoms more related to Rett syndrome or Angelman syndrome. But it doesn't matter. We feel blessed to be her parents and older sister.
I have been running into people who have a child with Rett Syndrome in their life. Most see Mindy and I on the street, and comment on how they think it is great that I bring Mindy out. I just love her company. Even when she is pushing Daddy's buttons.
